The article is devoted to a comprehensive analysis of the mechanisms of state management of the aircraft industry, including regulatory regulation and a program-design approach. The paper considers the theoretical foundations of the state management of the aircraft industry, the system of regulatory regulation covering aviation safety, aircraft certification and technical standards. Considerable attention is paid to the analysis of the program-project approach, which allows the state to concentrate resources on priority areas of industry development. Based on the tables presented in the article, an assessment of the effectiveness of state management of the aircraft industry has been carried out, industry development indicators for the period 2018-2025 have been identified, and mechanisms for state support of aircraft manufacturing enterprises have been identified. The paper shows that the most effective results are achieved with the complementarity of regulatory regulation and the program-project approach. A comparative analysis of the models of state management of the aircraft industry in Russia, Europe and the USA has been carried out, which makes it possible to identify the features of national approaches. The article contains recommendations on improving the mechanisms of state management of the aircraft industry in the context of modern challenges related to environmental requirements, the development of digital technologies and the need to ensure technological independence. The research is based on the analysis of official statistical data, regulatory legal acts and the results of scientific research in the field of state management of aircraft industry.
