STATE POLICY OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION IN THE FIELD OF DEVELOPMENT OF BILATERAL TRADE AND ECONOMIC RELATIONS WITH THE CIS COUNTRIES

This article examines the current state and prospects of Russian state policy aimed at developing trade and economic partnerships with the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States. The chronology of these relations is divided into several stages, allowing us to trace the transformation of approaches from the post-Soviet legacy to pragmatic cooperation in the new geopolitical realities. The paper presents data on GDP and foreign trade dynamics and identifies key issues, including supply chain disruptions and currency risks. Particular attention is paid to analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of existing bilateral agreements. The study proposes a number of measures to optimize interactions, such as the introduction of independent payment instruments and the convergence of free trade regimes. It concludes that deepening cooperation in the post-Soviet space remains a priority for ensuring national economic security.
