SOCIAL PROTECTION OF CITIZENS: SIGNIFICANCE, APPROACHES TO UNDERSTANDING AND STUDY OF FOREIGN EXPERIENCE

Abstract

The article is aimed at studying an important branch of the social sphere - the social protection of citizens. It describes the need for the implementation and implementation of this social protection for citizens in order to preserve the health and well-being of citizens. In this regard, the relevance of the article is due to the fact that today, for many countries, the orientation of the state apparatus towards social security, justice and security is a priority of state policy. Therefore, today the solution of issues of social protection of citizens is an important vector for the Governments of both foreign states and the Russian Federation, as well as a necessary condition for mutual trust between citizens, since maintaining a decent standard of living for citizens is the key to improving their quality of life. The article also analyzes various approaches to the meaning of social protection, puts forward its principles and purpose. The opinions of foreign scientists of foreign universities are presented, putting forward their position on this issue. Separately, the European social model is described as an effective system of social protection, implemented through a financial mechanism developed at the proper level.
