The article examines the current state of the financial and innovation policy of the Russian Federation, analyzes statistical data on the inflow of investment in innovations, examines the main directions of innovative development, as well as methods of state support for innovation. The relevance and novelty is due to the fact that the modern innovative economy is based on the creation and practical use of knowledge and requires a reorientation of the investment potential of the state and business to invest in the organization, research and development of technologies and products to increase the competitiveness of the company's products and the country as a whole. The purpose of writing a scientific article is a general assessment of the state of the financial and innovation policy of the Russian Federation, analysis of statistical data, problems and further development prospects.
It is revealed that one of the successful instruments of the financial and innovation policy of the Russian Federation is the creation of special funds and targeted programs. These mechanisms are important for the development of various sectors of the economy and ensuring their competitiveness in the global market. Funds and targeted programs make it possible to manage the financial resources of the state, ensuring their effective use in certain areas of activity. They are a kind of tool for concentrating financial resources to solve certain tasks and achieve specific goals. The creation of special funds and targeted programs allows the Russian Federation to stimulate the development of innovative projects, scientific research, technology modernization and increasing the country's export potential. They also contribute to attracting investments, developing small and medium-sized businesses, and creating new jobs. One of the key strategies adopted by the state is the creation of mechanisms for state support of innovations. Within the framework of this policy, there are various government programs aimed at financing research and development, stimulating technology transfer centers, as well as supporting start-up innovative entrepreneurs.
