THE IMPACT OF POLITICAL PROCESSES ON THE EXCHANGE RATE

Abstract

In the article, the authors consider the influence of both internal and external processes on the exchange rate. In the study, the authors focus on the state of world currencies such as the dollar, euro, yuan, their interrelation and interdependence. The influence of political factors, namely, elections, referendums, the imposition of sanctions against the country, is considered from both a positive and negative point of view of the impact on the exchange rate of the national currency, due to which fluctuations in the currency market can occur, which contributes to changes in both the value of the national currency itself, its attractiveness on the market and prospects for investors. The authors also proposed measures to reduce the dependence between political events and changes in the market value of the national currency. The obtained results of the analysis serve as a basis for further study of the global foreign exchange market.
